Good luck running a session relying on punching into a track. Zoom settings are having random weird problems. They are all excellent and capable DAWs. However, after using Logic Pro X, it is hard to migrate to any other music software. I find myself able to create music with relative ease that the other DAWs just are not capable of.
The MIDI capabilities alone are second to none in Logic and the ability to compose music in all styles makes it the best of the best. Another huge plus is the constant and free updates Apple provides… updates that are really upgrades in the quality and number of plug-ins and soft instruments built into the program. Composing music or just recording a band is easy with this software. Whether you are into acoustic, jazz, electronica or rock, this software package is the best there is and gets updated constantly by Apple.
Apple takes this software very seriously and I commend them for their excellence. Version However, it does have on issue now with Flex Pitch and Flex Tim.
Total disaster when only trying to use Flex Pitch and not edit the time. When you turn off Flex and Follow, all of your time and pitch corrections disappear.
I figured I was finally gonna update everything and move my sound library to an external drive to make my workflow easier by clearing space off my mac.
Updated to Catalina late, I know , updated logic and moved the sound library and downloaded all of the remaining samples and sounds that I wasnt able to fit when the library was on the computers internal drive. Now lo and behold, Ultrabeat has stopped working. The bigger problem for me is I was in the middle of a project where I had already used Ultrabeat for the entire song.
Now when I open the project, Logic stops responding for 30 seconds or so, then asks me to download additional content, says it's been successful and then wont play any sounds. Just like in yours, the samples are "missing" and pressing to locate them just shows me all the samples but in folders that dont have corresponding names, meaning I can't find the samples I used for the project.
Every time I try to change the preset kit, Logic stops responding for at least 30 seconds at a time, and it's completely killed off any workflow I could've had. The fact that I downloaded all the remaining sounds after relocating the sound library means I can't move it back to the internal drive because of the size of it being too large - so now I'm just stuck.
